Our Philosophy
Our Firm was founded by accomplished and experienced trial lawyers with the goal of creating a different kind of personal injury firm. After spending years practicing at large defense firms and other plaintiff firms, we have developed a core set of beliefs that guides the way we run our practice. We believe that every client phone call should be returned within two hours no matter how large or small the case. We believe that our clients should know what is going on in their cases, and not have to call to find out. We believe that the value of a case does not suddenly change the week before trial. Most importantly, we understand that our Firm does not exist without our clients.
Technical Expertise and Trial Experience Make a Difference
Prior to founding Willoughby Doyle, our lawyers spent years honing their trial skills defending hospitals, doctors, large corporations, insurance companies, and governmental entities and officials. As a result, we developed the technical expertise to effectively litigate a wide variety of cases on behalf of our clients. The knowledge gained in defending complex claims allows us to anticipate arguments and defenses before they are raised, which is the only way to effectively thwart the aggressive defense mounted in every lawsuit that we file. We achieve superior results because we understand how to attack the soft underbelly of every case. We know what evidence to gather and how to present it so that insurance companies, hospitals, and large corporations pay claims rather than litigate them.
Our Practice
Our diverse civil trial practice focuses on the representation of individuals who have suffered catastrophic injury, including amputation, spinal cord injury, burn injuries, and brain injuries in medical malpractice and personal injury matters. We represent employees in actions against their employers for wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment and other employment related issues. We also handle governmental entity claims on behalf of individuals in civil rights and tort claims, including police misconduct. Check out the “Practice Areas” section of this site for a more complete description of our practice.
